Marine Invertebrate

Lab

We are interested in the biology and evolution of marine invertebrates either shallow- and deep-water. Our target taxa include worms (annelid polychaetes and nemerteans), sponges, echinoderms and crustaceans. We are interested in the taxonomy, systematics, phylogenetics, adaptation and population genetics/genomics of marine invertebrates inhabiting remote areas like Antarctic waters or the abyssal Pacific but also interested closer habitats to our lab in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
